Dorsey partner and former U.S. Attorney William Michael commented in the Star Tribune on the motion by the Mohammed Warsame defense team to dismiss terror charges filed against him. Warsame, a Canadian of Somali descent, was arrested in Minnesota on December 3, 2003, while a student at Minneapolis Community College.

"His attorneys are absolutely correct in asking for the case to be dismissed because the rules set up in our court system are for a speedy trial," said Michael. He added that terrorism cases are often hard to fit within the criminal justice system since the evidence is often classified or inadmissible under federal rules and witnesses hard to locate.

The article "Terror Case Lingers 3 Years" was published in the December 28, 2006, edition of the Star Tribune.
