Overview
With over 20 years of business, operational, and legal experience in the energy generation and utilities sectors, Bobby brings a practical perspective that clients find effective when working through transactions and navigating regulations to achieve desired business objectives.
Bobby draws on a deep understanding of the utilities and energy markets, having worked for Investor-Owned Utilities, Federal Agency and Transmission System, and Public Power Systems. Whether supporting clients at the negotiating table, before state commissions, or in federal regulatory matters, he brings a solutions-oriented approach developed through significant roles at Duke Energy, NiSource, and TVA, the Tennessee Valley Authority.
He has a breadth of operational, transactional and regulatory experience across energy-related transactions, transmission system operations, renewable energy procurements and battery storage, wholesale agreements with FERC-filed formula rates, nuclear off-take agreements, power purchase and sale agreements, tolling arrangements, load and generation interconnection matters, project financing and asset acquisitions, and commodity procurements across gas, electric, and environmental products, such as renewable energy certificates and carbon credits.
Bobby also supports clients through organizational initiatives, operational restructuring, compliance and risk management design, and the resolution of complex cost recovery matters.
