Pro se litigants, including a previous Minneapolis mayoral candidate, filed a writ of prohibition in the Minnesota Supreme Court seeking to enjoin the State of Minnesota from issuing $468 million in bonds to support the construction of the new 65,000-plus seat facility. A team of Dorsey litigators and public finance, regulatory, governmental affairs and infrastructure lawyers assisted the MSFA in intervening in the legal proceeding and convinced the Minnesota Supreme Court to dismiss the petitioners' action. As a result, the bond sale and construction of the new stadium could continue as scheduled.
