  • Legal counsel to FirstRand Bank Limited (acting in its capacity as Rand Merchant division) as ZAR120,000,000 Term Facility Lender, Preference Share Agent and Facility Agent in connection with the Facilities Agreement and Subscription Agreement, entered into with NCP Alcohols Proprietary Limited as Borrower and Issuer for purposes of funding the construction of a production plant producing high quality extra neutral grade potable ethanol.
  • Legal counsel to the lenders in the circa R2,2 billion term and revolving facilities made available to MyChina Proprietary Limited (as borrower) by a consortium of local banks and finance institutions, i.e. Mandated Lead Arrangers.
  • Legal counsel to Little Green Beverages Proprietary Limited (as borrower) on procuring facilities from FirstRand Bank Limited (acting through its Rand Merchant Bank division) for the acquisition of Softbev Proprietary Limited and its subsidiaries.
  • Legal Counsel to the borrower on the R230,000,000 fund financing facilities provided by Absa to Main Street 1666 Proprietary Limited (a newly incorporated entity held by the Ethos Mid-Market Fund) for purposes of, amongst others, funding the acquisition of the business of Torre Analytical Services Proprietary Limited and its various divisions. Local Counsel was involved to assist with security arrangements from various jurisdictions, including Namibia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Dubai.
  • Legal counsel to the lenders on the circa. R2,7 billion multicurrency term facilities made available to AECI Limited and AECI Mauritius Limited (as borrowers) by The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited, (ii) Investec Bank Limited, (iii) Standard Finance (Isle of Man) Limited, (iv) Absa Bank Limited, (v) Sanlam Life Insurance Limited, and (v) Standard Chartered Bank Limited (as lenders).
