
Overview
As a partner in Dorsey’s Patent practice group, Angie helps clients of all sizes gain, manage, and leverage intellectual property assets in the United States and internationally. She regularly assists clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, and agricultural industries. Representative technologies for which Angie has drafted, prosecuted, or analyzed patent documents include small molecule pharmaceuticals, corticosteroid formulations, antibodies, nucleic acids, hydrogels, nutraceuticals, mouthwashes, filtration membranes, road paving materials, dairy products, and animal nutrition.
She also has experience with medical and diagnostic devices including prosthetic heart valves, infant head positioning aids, lateral flow devices, portable disinfectant production equipment, shape memory polymers, and protective hand covers. Angie’s background is in cellular and molecular biology, including graduate work that focused on post-transcriptional modification of RNA and its effect on gene expression. She also has extensive experience researching the protective effects of glutamine and its mechanism of action, investigating novel antithrombotic agents, and characterizing venom peptides.
