Overview
Joelle has experience litigating a broad variety of disputes including trust and estate litigation, IP litigation, construction litigation, and general business litigation. Joelle has handled all stages of litigation from taking and defending depositions to second-chairing a three-day arbitration. Joelle also successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal, obtaining an affirmance of the trial court’s order denying an anti-SLAPP motion.
Prior to joining Dorsey, Joelle clerked for a federal magistrate judge in the Central District of California and worked as a litigation associate at an AmLaw 200 firm headquartered in Irvine, California.

Representative Work
- Represented automotive parts manufacturer in action against former employee alleging misappropriation of trade secrets; former employee ultimately found liable for misappropriating trade secrets. *
- Represented general contractor in dispute against school district; successfully defeated district’s attempts to dismiss the general contractor’s suit for failure to comply with the California Torts Claim Act, and obtained judgment on the pleadings as to district’s claims alleging violations of the California False Claims Act. *
- Obtained favorable settlement for trustee of trust in action brought against trust beneficiaries. *
- Represented fitness brand in trademark infringement suit against fitness studio. *
- Obtained dismissal with prejudice of lawsuit alleging violations of the California Invasion of Privacy Act on behalf of website operator. *
- Represented trust beneficiaries in action against trustee and obtained order suspending the trustee for breaching the trust. *
- Obtained affirmance of trial court order denying anti-SLAPP motion on appeal. *
