Overview

RICHARD HELPS PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES, TRIBAL GOVERNMENTS AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS DRIVE DOWN THEIR COST OF CAPITAL THROUGH TAX-ADVANTAGED FINANCING PROGRAMS, INCLUDING TAX CREDIT FINANCINGS AND TAX-EXEMPT DEBT FINANCINGS.
In tax credit financings, Dick’s services range from assisting clients in initially accessing and analyzing the benefits of these programs to helping execute closings in an effective and cost-efficient manner. He regularly works with the new markets tax credit and other credit programs, including historic and rehabilitation tax credits and low income housing tax credits.In tax-exempt financing transactions, Dick serves as bond counsel, counsel to the underwriter and counsel to the borrower. He focuses primarily on revenue and tribal bond transactions, including 501(c)(3) bonds, and housing, health care, industrial development and tribal economic development bonds.Dick’s clients include state and local governments, tribal governments and enterprises, banks, investment banks, nonprofit organizations and business entities.
