As an associate in Dorsey’s patent group in Denver, Shannon works with clients of all sizes to prepare and prosecute patents in the United States and foreign jurisdictions, as well as prepare infringement and patentability opinions.
Prior to law school, Shannon worked as an engineer for two significant global manufacturers. She began her career as an engineer for powersports manufacturer, Polaris Industries. Four years later, she transitioned to a role as an application engineer with Gates Corporation, a global industrial manufacturer. Her five years with Gates gave her experience with engaging with customers on belt drive designs, managing the global commercialization of belt driven bicycle products, and managing both supplier and customer relationships.
