Overview

HEATHER’S PATH VEERED TOWARD WORKPLACE LAW EARLY IN HER CAREER. SHE FOUND WHAT SHE ENJOYS MOST ABOUT HER PRACTICE IS THE SATISFACTION OF PROVIDING PREVENTATIVE GUIDANCE ABOUT DAY-TO-DAY EMPLOYMENT ISSUES AND HELPING BUSINESSES RESOLVE EMPLOYEE DISPUTES.

Heather helps her clients comply with laws and regulations, as well as build tailored handbooks and policies for their individual business needs. In addition, she advises clients on pre-litigation claims and, when necessary and unavoidable, defends them in litigation.

Whether defending claims involving employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation, or wage and hour violations and compliance, Heather works to understand her clients’ goals to minimize risk, limit the financial impact, and achieve the most advantageous outcome possible.

Heather represents business owners in various industries, and always works to personalize her work with every client.  This includes restaurant and hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, retail, technology, homebuilding and infrastructure companies.

Prior to moving to Dorsey, Heather worked for a national labor and employment law firm.

During law school, Heather was a Scott Moot Court Honors Board member, where she competed as a finalist in the Scott Moot Court Competition and earned an award for Top Advocate in the National Moot Court Competition. She was also involved with the Youth Justice & Education Clinic where she represented juveniles, protecting their right to a meaningful, safe, and successful education.

In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, and cheering on her favorite Los Angeles sports teams, including USC Trojans, Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, and Kings.
