In this edition we report on a number of recent decisions of relevance to those involved in the drafting of commercial contracts, including an important decision of the Commercial Court on the meaning of “consent not to be unreasonably withheld”, a decision discussing the meaning of “all reasonable endeavours” and a case concerning the enforceability of side letters. We also discuss a decision which looks at the remedies available against ex-employees who try to set up in business in competition with their former employer.
