Attorney Benjamin Yaghoubian has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation group in Southern California, the international law firm announced today. Ben is the first IP Litigation attorney in this office, which has grown by nine attorneys since last fall.

An experienced litigator, Ben helps clients resolve patent, trade secret, and other IP and business disputes as well as manage technical strategy and the acquisition of companies, licenses, and the permissible uses of technology. Ben represents technology leaders in computer hardware, software, wireless technology, mobile applications, and medical devices. He has advocated for clients in many jury and non-jury trials across multiple venues, including United States District Courts, the International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and Superior Court of California. In addition to English, Ben speaks Farsi, Spanish, and Hebrew.

Before joining Dorsey, Ben practiced at two other global law firms. He received his J.D. from UCLA and earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University.

“We are thrilled for Ben to join our IP Litigation team and growing Southern California office,” said Shannon Bjorklund, Intellectual Property Litigation Group Co-Leader for Dorsey. “Ben has a proven record in high-stakes patent litigation, both in district court and before the ITC, as well as in matters involving copyrights, trademarks, unfair competition law, and non-competition agreements.”

“Dorsey’s IP Litigation group has a lengthy history of partnering with clients to find creative solutions for their intellectual property issues,” said Ben Yaghoubian. “I’m excited to contribute my skills and experience to this incredible team and to helping our clients achieve their goals together.”
