International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that 30 of its practice areas are ranked nationally in the just-released 2026 edition of Best Law Firms®.
Of those 30 practice areas, 11 Dorsey practices were ranked National Tier 1, the highest ranking available. These include:

- Copyright Law
- Litigation – Banking and Finance
- Litigation – Construction
- Litigation – Intellectual Property
- Litigation – Patent
- Mergers and Acquisitions Law
- Patent Law
- Trademark Law
- Trusts and Estates
Another 19 of Dorsey’s practice areas were nationally ranked as Tier 2 or 3.
In addition to the national rankings, Best Lawyers® also released 2026 rankings for individual metropolitan areas. Thirteen of Dorsey’s U.S. offices were ranked in at least one practice area in the metropolitan rankings, with a total of 126 Dorsey metropolitan practice areas recognized across the nation.
