Erin Kolter

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Erin C. Kolter has joined the Firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group in Seattle as Of Counsel.

Ms. Kolter has extensive experience representing a wide range of clients through all phases of patent and patent-related litigation, including cases in federal district court, arbitration proceedings, matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has litigated a wide range of technologies, such as medical devices, electronic devices incorporating wireless communications, surgical instrumentation and procedures, RFID technology and high-performance turbocharging.

Before joining Dorsey, Ms. Kolter was a partner (until July 2015) in the Intellectual Property Litigation group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in that firm’s Los Angeles office. She was a summer associate at Kirkland and joined as an associate following law school in 2008.

Ms. Kolter has a B.S.E. degree magna cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law.
