International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Thaddeus R. Lightfoot has joined the Regulatory Affairs Group in the Firm’s Minneapolis office as a Partner. In 25 years of practicing environmental law, Mr. Lightfoot has represented clients in numerous private party environmental litigation matters and governmental enforcement actions. In addition, he advises clients regarding compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws. Mr. Lightfoot has represented corporate clients in a variety of sectors, including the mining, forest products, paper, steel, manufacturing, electronics, pharmaceutical, real estate development, and ethanol industries, as well as public entities. He is a former trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice’s Environmental Enforcement Section, a former chair of the Environmental Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and is recognized as one of the most experienced environmental trial lawyers in Minnesota.
