The Dorsey's Dallas office is excited to host a lunch meeting featuring the Honorable Judge Bill Whitehill speaking on the newly-formed Texas Business Court (First Division).
The Texas Business Court (along with the newly-added 15th Court of Appeals) was created by the Texas Legislature effective September 1, 2024. It was designed to provide a specialized venue for resolving complex commercial disputes presided over by judges with substantial judicial or litigation experience. Judge Whitehill was among the first jurists appointed by the Governor, building on his exemplary career as a Justice on the Dallas Court of Appeals and his prior tenure as a prominent trial lawyer with Dallas-based Gardere (Now Foley & Lardner) law firm.
