Overview
Tami’s focus is counselling clients, including brand owners and advertisers, in the creation, commercialization, exploitation and strategic protection of their branding, marketing, advertising, intellectual property and merchandising assets and initiatives through enforcement of intellectual property and related proprietary rights.
Tami oversees digital rights management, branding initiatives, litigation strategies, trademark clearance, domestic and foreign portfolios, global growth initiatives and both domestic and overseas counsel relationships, all with a business and open minded approach, taking into account each client’s nuanced needs and goals. She negotiates transactions related to IP, publicity rights, commercialization initiatives, branded entertainment, digital rights, production, marketing/advertising campaigns, privacy, rights acquisitions and transfers, sponsorships/endorsements, and software and technology, including licensing, development and joint ventures and litigation before the TTAB and state and federal courts related to claims of infringement, unfair competition, false advertising, publicity rights and UDRP disputes.
She handles all stages of trademark and copyright enforcement, prosecution, clearance, due diligence, and licensing strategies, counseling clients in the areas of trademark, advertising and unfair competition law, including compliance with FTC and other regulatory agencies, and representing clients in disputes before the U.S. Trademark and Trial Appeal Board, U.S. Federal Courts and private tribunals.
Tami has significant experience working with media and entertainment, technology, hospitality, retail and consumer goods and services industry clients including networks, production companies, talent, marketing and advertising agencies, digital platforms, fashion, beauty, financial services and home textiles.
