International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Shira Hauschen, a consultant for Dorsey Health Strategies, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Hennepin Health Foundation (HHF).  HHF is a non-profit organization that exists to connect the generosity of the community to the mission of Hennepin Healthcare System to provide the best possible care to every patient, search for new ways to improve care, educate health care providers and ensure access to health care for all.

Dorsey Heath Strategies, a consultancy founded by Dorsey & Whitney, offers a comprehensive array of business advisory and regulatory services to clients in the health industry.  Ms. Hauschen advises clients across a wide range of health industry segments on topics including compliance with federal and state laws, heath care IT, Big Data, telemedicine and mobile health, lean transformation (process improvement), vendor management and integrated delivery systems.

Ms. Hauschen has a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters certificate in Health Policy and Management from Indiana University-Bloomington and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago.  Prior to joining Dorsey Health Strategies, she worked at McKinsey & Co. as a consultant specializing in health care. Her prior professional background is in health care and health care IT, including working at Epic with large health care providers to implement EHRs, as well as with local and national health care entities.
