MINNEAPOLIS - IS SUPPORT SERVICES DIRECTOR - (#2934)

Dorsey is seeking an IS Support Services Director in the Minneapolis office.  In this senior level IT position, you will be responsible for the provision of direct services and support to users of IT systems and processes.

Duties:
Technology Services Center
Manage operations of the Technology Services Center (help desk) so that user problems are identified, prioritized, researched, resolved, and followed-up quickly and accurately.  
Meet established service level commitments.  Establish service level goals, track and report progress against goals.  

Technical Training
Create and manage a skills assessment inventory and competency models for staff roles in end-user community.  Manage the identification of skill gaps and prioritize skills improvement initiatives. 
Oversee the development of curriculums and courses to address skill gaps for end-users and balances a variety of learning styles. 

Audiovisual
Manage the planning, installation, operation, and problem resolution of all audiovisual hardware and software firm-wide, including video, lighting and sound control systems.

MINNEAPOLIS - SENIOR VOICE ENGINEER (#2933)

There is a position available for a Senior Voice Engineer in the Information Systems Department of Dorsey’s Minneapolis Office.
Duties:

Provide technical support for all VoIP and IP voice related systems including call control, voice mail, IM, call accounting, E911, contact center, audio conferencing, and other related telecommunications equipment.  
Provide product expertise with tactical and strategic planning.
Perform system installation and system upgrades; critical system programming; and Moves, Adds, Changes of enterprise systems, customer equipment, system monitoring, reporting, documentation and system design.  Communicate status of maintenance activities through the standard Change Control process.  
Support regional office voice operations by remote system administration, coordinating vendor activities or traveling as necessary.  Responsible for making accommodations for office moves, adding new users, modifying existing users, making necessary repairs and overseeing system upgrades.  Perform after-hours support as required.  
Ensure that all voice requests for new individuals or changes are handled efficiently and accurately.  Oversee and implement procedures for programming and customizing requirements for each user. 
Create documentation on all IP telephony designs.  Submit recommendations on capacity, size, and design of new systems to be installed.
Assist in disaster recovery planning and procedures for the IP telephony platforms.  Identify possible points of failure and develop plans for responding to disasters or other significant outages to assure business continuity.  Continually update procedures to reflect current environment.

MINNEAPOLIS - MARKETING COORDINATOR (#2930)

Dorsey’s Professional Services Group is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to assist with the firm’s Marketing and Professional Development initiatives.  The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Client Relations, and will work with Marketing and Dorsey U staff, attorneys, and others, being specifically responsible for handling the key duties listed below.  The Professional Services Group is a fast-paced and dynamic team, and the position is perfect for a detail-oriented self-starter who is well organized and wants a variety of responsibilities.

Duties:

Sponsorship/Gala Coordination. Handle all logistics for select firm sponsorships and galas, including ensuring that paperwork is completed and processed (payment, ads and logos, and more), strategizing on targeting key Dorsey and client invitees to invite, following up post-event to maximize benefits, and more.  Attend regular meetings with the Professional Services Group and Events team and Sponsorships Committee.  Occasional attendance at sponsorship events and galas expected.
Coordinate Firm Rankings Submission Efforts.  Work with Marketing staff and attorneys to coordinate and complete rankings submissions and secure key firm rankings.  Act as primary contact with rankings organizations.
Coordinate Marketing Events and Dorsey U Programming.  Coordinate logistics for select Marketing events and Dorsey U programming, including attendance at planning meetings and Dorsey U curriculum meetings, handling calendaring, managing the invitation processes, coordinating with A/V and Conference Center staff, completing post-program tasks (attendance data entry, and more).  Assist with continuing legal education (CLE) accreditation processes as time allows.
Work with Practice Group Liaisons.  Assist Practice Group Liaisons (senior Marketing staff and secretaries) with coordination and calendaring of regular practice group meetings and with preparation of meeting agendas and other materials as requested.
Intelligence. Assist senior Marketing staff (often working in conjunction with Information Resource Services) with client intelligence gathering efforts.

• Develop and maintain systems to collect, store and retrieve data.
• Locate and expedite requested documentation.

SALT LAKE CITY - SENIOR BILLING SPECIALIST (#2931)

Dorsey is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join our Salt Lake City office.  In this role, you will be responsible for all components of the billing process for assigned clients and attorneys.  As a key team member, you will work towards department goals and continually evaluate and recommend new work procedures to meet the changing needs of our clients, attorneys, and our Firm.  

Primary Duties will include but are not limited to:
Coordinate day-to-day operations of the billing process.
Implement computer billing procedures for assigned attorneys.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all computerized bills.  Monitor changes in billing procedures, policies and billing attorney responsibilities.
Ensure that assigned attorneys have satisfied all required monthly billing responsibilities in accordance with clearing deadlines.  Coordinate with assigned attorney to determine action on each component of that attorney’s monthly billing responsibilities.
Prepare and work on more complicated computerized bills from pro forma on the computer system, taking into account special billing instructions, rates and making corrections as indicated.  
Prepare necessary transfers or write-offs, obtaining required approvals.  Prepare Deferral Requests for assigned attorneys in accordance of the billing guidelines and requirements as needed.  Enter deferral explanation note in system, obtain billing review partner approval when needed, and submit prior to clearing deadline.
Prepare Report on Outstanding Invoices pursuant to the attorney’s instructions. Perform A/R follow-up calls and correspondence, draft status descriptions for reporting. Obtain approvals and submit form prior to clearing deadline.
Assist Accounts Receivable in the review of Statement of Accounts. Provide current information for Accounting Department reminder notice process. Prepare additional billing detail, breakdowns, analysis as requested by clients, attorneys or Accounting personnel. Work with contact persons in client offices.
Maintain billing records and provide follow-up assistance to attorneys, secretaries and clients regarding questions or problems arising from billing.  Provide spreadsheets, reporting, etc. to client when requested.
Continually evaluate current methods and make recommendations for new work procedures to meet the changing needs of attorneys, the department, and more complex clients.
May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.

Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 5 –10 years of experience in billing.

Duties:

  • Work with other California marketing personnel, practice groups, industry groups, lawyers and administrators to coordinate marketing and business development events, sponsorships, local and regional seminars and presentations, receptions and special events, including all aspects of event planning, strategy, execution and follow-up. 
  • Prepare and assemble materials, brochures and promotional items for such events, sponsorships, seminars and presentations.
  • Prepare Southern California lawyers’ rankings and directory submissions. Prepare written materials including internal and external communications, pitches and other marketing materials.
  • Responsible for, with direction from the Office Head and Director of Business Development, identification of key sponsorships and industry and trade association opportunities, including recommendation of key organizations to partner with, establishing relationships with executive directors, maximizing business development opportunities, assisting in preparing content and creative direction of relevant material, developing program ads, processing invoice payments and handling of other logistics, and monitoring attorney participation.

Requirements:
