Dorsey Partner Zach Carter Among Most Influential Minority Lawyers

NEW YORK — Zachary Carter, a partner in the Dorsey New York office, is among the 50 most influential minority lawyers, according to the National Law Journal.

The 50 honorees -- featured in the National Law Journal special publication, Profiles In Power: The 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers In America – are those attorneys who have had a national impact in their legal fields and beyond during the past five years.

In selecting Carter, the Journal noted the high-profile cases he prosecuted as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, one of the largest federal districts in the United States, from 1993 to 1999; his appointment to the Cablevision Systems Corp. board of directors, following the company’s disclosure of options backdating; and his work as head of the Dorsey New York trial department and co-chair of the White-Collar Crime and Civil Fraud practice.

Carter practices law in the areas of white collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation, representation of government regulated industries, representation of government contractors and securities class action litigation.
