Vilsack Discusses Climate Change on CNBC's Squawk Box
Dorsey Partner and former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack joined former New York Governor George Pataki on the CNBC news program “Squawk Box” on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, to talk about climate change and the upcoming elections. Governor Pataki and Governor Vilsack were co-chairs of the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on Climate Change, which recently issued a major report (read more here.)
Speaking from the Pepsi Center in Denver, where he is attending the Democratic National Convention, Tom spoke on the need for immediate action from both the government and the private sector to establish the United States as the world leader in confronting climate change. He also pointed out how climate change impacts major political issues like the economy, national security, health care, and the shrinking middle class.
