Elias Swanson
Associate
Elias Swanson is an associate in both the Patent Group and the Trademark, Copyright, and Brand Management Group. His general practice includes, but is not limited to the filing and prosecution of federal applications for trademark registration; participation in oppositions before the United States trademark trial and appeal board; participation in the enforcement of trademark rights, assisting in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of both domestic and foreign patent applications; and participation in civil litigation matters relating to tort and contract in Iowa state courts.
Prior to joining Dorsey, Mr. Swanson gained over six years of production management, product development, capital project management, quality control and process engineering experience in the forest products industry. His specific experience related to the manufacture and use of lightweight and ultra-lightweight coated papers for the publication and catalog industries.
