Stephanie Beers is an attorney in the Labor & Employment group. She concentrates her practice on employment related issues arising under federal, Washington, Oregon, California, and Alaska law. Ms. Beers represents employers facing litigation on all employment related issues, including claims for wage and hour violations, retaliation, wrongful termination, and discrimination. She counsels employers on investigating and responding to equal employment opportunity charges. She also assists companies in litigation of non-compete violations and misappropriation of trade secrets.
Ms. Beers advises companies on development and implementation of employment policies and handbooks, drafting and negotiating employment and separation agreements, and employee hiring, discipline and termination. She also focuses her practice on issues unique to employers in the Labor context. Her experience includes interpreting and enforcing collective bargaining agreements, enforcing mandatory arbitration clauses, and arguing LMRA preemption of state law claims.
