Mr. Rothstein is a partner in Dorsey’s Trial Group, with first and second chair trial experience in Federal and state court. Mr. Rothstein primarily focuses his practice on intellectual property disputes, including high-stakes patent litigation, trademark actions, and trade secret cases. He has litigated patent cases around the country including California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Utah, and Colorado. He also has substantial experience representing medium-sized and Fortune 500 companies in covenant not-to-compete disputes, securities actions, and health care litigation. He has further represented companies in complex contract matters, business torts, and ownership disputes.
In addition to his traditional litigation work, Evan also devotes a significant portion of his practice to other areas. He frequently utilizes his experience and expertise to counsel his clients on employment issues, and also spends considerable time advising clients on their contracts and business practices to insulate against recurring liability and avoid potential litigation pitfalls. He is also actively involved in pro bono work, devoting time and effort to the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, representing children in family court. Evan was also recently appointed to the Advisory Board of Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.
