Mr. Raab is an associate in the Trial Group. His primary practice areas are general commercial litigation, insurance law, banking, product liability defense, and class action defense. He has handled numerous appeals before the Second Circuit, New York State Court of Appeals, and New York Appellate Division.

Representative Litigation

  • Phoenix Life Insurance Co. v Various (New York Court of Appeals, Appellate Division, various trial courts) — represented Phoenix in connection with exposure and litigation resulting from improper secondary market/stranger-originated life insurance (“STOLI”) transactions, in disputes with brokers, and in actions to rescind life insurance policies. 
  • Consub Delaware LLC v. Schahin Engenharia Limitada (Second Circuit, S.D.N.Y.) — obtained attachment of millions of dollars for client as security for its breach-of-contract claim against a Brazilian entity that resisted participation in any litigation, and successfully defended the attachment before the Second Circuit.
