MINNEAPOLIS (March 1, 2010) - International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that John Chase has joined the Tax practice in the firm’s Palo Alto office as a Partner. His practice focuses on the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, spin-offs, dispositions and financings. Mr. Chase has extensive experience in advising public and private companies as well as private equity funds on a variety of domestic and international tax issues.
Prior to joining Dorsey, Mr. Chase served as Special Counsel to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Previously, he practiced tax law in the Palo Alto offices of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and DLA Piper. Mr. Chase received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Business Taxation and J.D. from the University of Southern California.
