Introduction to Carbon Cap-and-Trade: What Could it Mean for Minnesota?

Former Iowa Governor and Dorsey Partner Tom Vilsack will provide the keynote address, drawing upon his experiences leading government initiatives to combat climate change. Governor Vilsack will describe the significance and timeliness of this topic, and speak to the potential benefits of building a “green economy” in Minnesota and the Midwest region as a whole.

Additional guest speakers will present the basic structural elements of a cap-and-trade system, examine some of the projected economic impacts of such a system, and open discourse on the implications of carbon cap-and-trade for Minnesota’s business community.
