Overview

Jordan focuses on the protection of innovative products, the development of brands, and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Jordan has represented clients ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations in patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright litigation in federal courts and before the Patent and Trademark Office.  Jordan also has experience managing international disputes over intellectual property.   

He has worked with a wide array of technologies such as firearms, aerospace, medical devices, fitness equipment, food processing, mechanical systems, and more. Jordan has also assisted in patent prosecution and portfolio management throughout the world, including in foreign jurisdictions such as in Europe and Asia.

Jordan served as an input editor for the Idaho Law Review, and previously interned at the United States Patent and Trademark Office where he examined patent applications and participated in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Experience

  • Defended architectural firm in copyright infringement matter. Case settled favorably after motion to dismiss was filed. 
  • Represented trademark owner and regional publisher in the District of Idaho in trademark infringement matter.  Successfully defended countersuit and obtained settlement for injunctive relief. 
  • Represented patent owner in patent infringement matter involving firearm accessories. Case settled favorably after claim construction briefing.
  • Represented trademark owner and manufacturer of aftermarket parts for high-performance snowmobiles in the District of Idaho in trademark infringement matter. Case settled favorably after motion for preliminary injunction was filed.
  • Represented agribusiness company and trademark owner in the Northern District of California in trademark infringement matter involving fertilizers. Successfully obtained injunctive relief prohibiting infringing and misleading labelling.
  • Representing foodservice company in patent infringement matter involving design patents for global products.
