Jennifer Lane

Associate

Jennifer Lane is an associate in the Intellectual Property group. Jennifer represents both large and emerging companies in patent procurement and portfolio management. She has worked with a wide array of technologies ranging from electronics to software to biosensor systems.

In addition to maintaining a patent procurement practice, Jennifer frequently advises clients on transactional matters involving technology and intellectual property. Prior to law school, Ms. Lane practiced with Dorsey as a patent agent.

Representative Work

  • Conducted invention disclosure meetings, prepared patent applications, and managed patent prosecution in technologies including memory devices, Ethernet systems, video compression techniques, software, microfluidics, biosensors, and medical imaging.
  • Prepared patent policy and procedures for growing companies establishing their patent programs.
  • Counseled research scientists in small companies and government labs regarding patent protection strategies for core research.
  • Oversaw due diligence and subsequent title transfer surrounding corporate transactions involving intellectual property.
  • Assisted standards setting organization in obtaining voluntary compliance with established intellectual property policy.
