Overview

Tamara has extensive experience in intellectual property and advertising, marketing, and promotions law.

Tami oversees advertising and branding initiatives with clients related to the launch and commercialization of their business and throughout all stages of the lifecycle of the business and its brands. She has an active media and entertainment practice and represents celebrities and creative content owners in connection with their strategic partnerships, business interests, intellectual property, publicity and branding initiatives including but not limited to negotiating talent, licensing, and merchandising opportunities. Tami’s top priority is her clients – she is dedicated to learning about and understanding each individual client in order to provide laser-focused advice and concierge-level client service at all times. 

Clients turn to Tami for strategic counseling and advice to assist in meeting their short immediate and long term projects and goals. Tami handles commercial contracts and transactions related to intellectual property, advertising and marketing campaigns, product/services launches, sweepstakes and promotions, social media engagement, content and technology development and ownership, distribution, MSAs, commercial rights negotiations, production, publicity rights, digital assets, domain names, creative works, and privacy. She handles media and entertainment-related transactions for individuals, including celebrities and influencers, and companies, including advertisers, advertising/marketing agencies, and PR agencies, related to talent, production, sponsorship/endorsement agreements, influencer agreements, social media, appearances, events, branded entertainment, digital rights, music, production, and rights acquisitions, merchandising, management, and transfers.  

Tami oversees all stages of brand and content development, including trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, U.S. and global portfolio management, due diligence, and licensing strategies, providing advice in the areas of trademark, copyright, advertising, unfair competition, compliance with FTC and other governmental and regulatory agencies’ regulations, publicity, media, and entertainment. Tami litigates intellectual property, advertising, domain name, publicity, media, entertainment, and related cases before U.S. Federal Courts, the U.S. Trademark and Trial Appeal Board (TTAB), ICANN, NAD, and private tribunals.

Tami has significant experience working with individuals, start-ups/emerging companies, and Fortune 500 companies located in the U.S. and internationally across a myriad of industries, including media, entertainment, consumer goods and services, technology, food and hospitality, fashion, apparel, beauty, luxury goods, music, textiles, marketing and advertising agencies, PR agencies, financial services, sports, digital platforms, and not-for-profit businesses. Tami has worked as in house counsel on a secondment basis. She leverages her business and in house experience to support clients in meeting their budgets and goals, and Tami often serves the role of outside general counsel to clients, assisting them across the wide-range of their legal needs.
