The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has again named international law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP among the 100 best adoption-friendly workplaces.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a national, nonprofit public charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for the more than 140,000 children waiting for adoption in North America’s foster care systems.
For 18 years, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has compiled an annual list of the top 100 adoption-friendly workplaces. The 2024 list includes a diverse group of organizations representing 22 industries. Employers that completed the survey offered an average of 9.6 weeks of paid leave for adoptive parents, an increase of 6% compared to last year.
The Foundation partnered with RTI International to survey employers across the United States and score participants based on three criteria: financial reimbursement, paid leave, and the percentage of employees eligible for those benefits.
