This panel will discuss the rapidly evolving law regarding employee restrictive covenants, including recent Minnesota legislation, FTC pronouncements, and positions taken by the National Labor Relations Board, and review broader trends across the country. Leave & Accommodations Law Update

This session will provide updates on new laws governing employee leaves and accommodations, with a focus on practical guidance for navigating the thicket of these already thorny issues. Topics will include the new Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) law, developments in other states’ PFML and sick and safe leave requirements, and accommodation requirements under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision governing the standard under which employers must assess employee requests for religious accommodations.
