The principles of “reasonable accommodation” remain the same, but the details of employee situations and employer circumstances provide endless twists on how far employers must go in accommodating requests for accommodations. This program will give recent examples of situations involving physical and mental health disability accommodation requests and requests for religious accommodation, revisit the standards used to determine employers’ obligations, and provide practical solutions for determining how to respond to unanticipated accommodation requests. It will also highlight where California law differs from the ADA.
