International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Cornell Leverette Moore, a Partner with Dorsey, will receive the distinguished alumnus award from the Howard University Law Alumni Association. The award will be presented on July 18 during the Alumni Association’s annual meeting to be held at the National Bar Association Conference in Las Vegas.
Mr. Moore received his J.D. from Howard University Law School in 1964. He is a member of the Howard University Board of Trustees, has served as a General Trustee since 2000 and was an Alumni Trustee from 1992 to 1998. He served as Grand Sire Archon of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity from 2006 to 2008.
Mr. Moore is a former chair of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority and a board member for more than 25 years of the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation.
