A partner in the Corporate group and co-Chair of the Licensing and Technology Commerce and Technology Commerce practices, Mr. McCormick advises clients on complex commercial contract matters, often with a strong intellectual property component -- joint ventures, strategic alliances, intellectual property acquisition and license agreements, product development agreements, agreements with employees and consultants, research and development transactions, outsourcing, confidentiality and noncompetition agreements, the management, renegotiation and termination of complex agreements, and the resolution of disputes under complex agreements. His practice also includes international transactions and regulatory matters, private company merger and acquisition transactions, and general corporate matters.
Michael’s clients range from development-stage companies to large, established companies, where specialized knowledge, inventive activities and intellectual property rights are important. Mr. McCormick is equally at home in domestic and international transactions, having worked in international transactions throughout his career.
