Robert W. Mallard is an Associate in the Bankruptcy and Financial and Restructuring group. He regularly represents a variety of constituents throughout many stages of pre-bankruptcy planning, the Chapter 11 reorganization or liquidation process and the Chapter 7 liquidation process. He also represents significant creditors, official committees and lenders in bankruptcies. Robert's representation includes buyers of a variety of distressed assets inside bankruptcy, including operating companies, intellectual property, and fixed assets.
Robert's litigation background adds to his ability to provide a broad range of service and advice to clients distressed or healthy litigation, as well as corporate settings. He represents clients with cases in both federal and state court, including the Delaware District Court, Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware Superior Court. Robert has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous adversary proceedings brought under chapter 5 of the bankruptcy code. Robert has also been counsel in appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
