Protecting your Assets

We work closely with you to ensure that your assets (whether human resources or ideas belonging to the company) are carefully protected.  We interact with clients to accomplish these goals through various preventative and enforcement mechanisms, including the following:
  • Evaluation/resolution of an employee’s obligations to prior employers
  • Adoption of post-employment restrictive covenants, designed to protect employer’s legitimate business interests in an enforceable way
  • Adoption of policies and procedures to protect a company’s trade secrets, as well as other proprietary and confidential information
  • Education of current and former employees about their fiduciary and contractual obligations to the employer
  • Enforcement of contractual and other common law obligations when there has been a breach
  • Utilization of separation agreements to reinforce pre-existing obligations or create new obligations for the departing employee
