Mark provides legal and business advice on a broad range of issues involving the design and administration of health and welfare benefits. He has particular expertise with consumer-driven health care plans and wellness programs.
Mark’s clients include Fortune 100 employers, banks, health insurance companies, governmental entities and third-party administrators. As an employee benefits attorney, Mark has expertise with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other state and federal laws that govern health and welfare benefit programs. But the primary focus of his practice is to provide legal support for innovative products and services that are designed to reign in health care costs, expand coverage, and fight chronic disease. Mark helped establish the Consumer-Driven Health Care Group, a think tank of Dorsey lawyers drawn from a wide range of practice specialties to tackle any problem or project in the health care industry.
