Patent Agent
Brian Ignat is a patent agent in the firm’s Denver office. His practice includes all areas of patent prosecution, with a special emphasis on electrical and computer related devices. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of fields, including telephony and telecommunications, semiconductors, data networks, digital circuits, computer peripherals, computer storage systems, foreign language character rendering, laser scanning systems and spectrometry data filters. Brian also has experience working with patent applications directed to e-commence business methods. In the medical device field, he has prepared and prosecuted applications directed to surgical implants, retractors and patient mobility devices.
Prior to becoming a patent agent, he worked as a systems engineer for Symbios/LSI Logic for three years. His engineering experience includes design verification and signal characterization testing for chip and host adapter board compliance with PCI and SCSI communication protocols. He was also member of a design team that developed a 1000 MIPS GaAs RISC processor for DARPA.
