Patchen Haggerty is a partner in Dorsey’s Seattle office. Patchen counsels, advises and assists clients on a broad range of complex and strategic legal and business matters, including issues relating to trademark, copyright, trade secret, patent, domain name, antitrust, IP due diligence, privacy and Internet security. She has extensive experience in securing and protecting domestic and international trademark, copyright and trade dress rights, and manages a number of global trademark portfolios for consumer products companies (cosmetics, skin care, hair accessories and outdoor sports products); software companies; online gaming companies; mobile application providers; green and clean technology companies; food products companies; financial services companies; agricultural cooperatives; and trade organizations.
In addition, Patchen drafts and negotiates agreements relating to the development, distribution, licensing and marketing of software, hardware and Internet-based services, as well as manufacturing, distributor and retail services agreements and agreements relating to the protection, development, commercialization and sale of intellectual property rights. She also manages trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings, concurrent use proceedings and trademark application appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), as well as Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings. Patchen also assists with patent, trademark, false advertising, unfair competition, copyright, cybersquatting and trade secret litigation.
