Brad Gould is a partner in Dorsey & Whitney’s intellectual property practice. With a concentration in patent prosecution, transactional matters, and litigation, Mr. Gould specializes in intellectual property portfolio counseling and strategic management; preparing and prosecuting patent applications; patent appeals; patent opinions; IP, transactions, agreements, and deals; and IP due diligence. He also handles interference, reexamination, reissue, and opposition proceedings.
The extensive experience Mr. Gould brings to Dorsey’s Intellectual Property Group includes counseling clients on a number of intellectual property matters, including: developing and effectuating offensive and defensive strategies for litigation and for leveraging intellectual property, managing large IP portfolios, agreements involving intellectual property, IP asset evaluation, and trade secrets. His negotiations have produced successful and lucrative agreements in large corporate deals (in domestic and foreign settings), and he has handled an array of work in drafting and evaluation of licensing, development, intellectual property transfer, joint venture, confidentiality, and other agreements. Mr. Gould also is positioned to provide patent litigation and litigation support services for clients.
Internationally, he manages foreign patent prosecution and has directed European attorneys in patent oppositions.
