Dorsey Partners Jeffrey Fromm, Carllene Placide to Speak at Software & Information Industry Conferences
NEW YORK (April 22, 2009) — Dorsey partners Jeffrey Fromm and Carllene Placide will be featured speakers at upcoming events sponsored by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA).
New York Partner Jeffrey Fromm, a member of the Dorsey Venture Capital and Emerging Companies practice group, will attend the SIIA 2009 Ed Tech Industry Summit and participate in a panel discussion, “Moving to Web-Based Delivery: What Are the Financial, Business and Legal Implications?”
The conference draws educators, publishers and others from across the educational technology industry. Fromm will address the legal issues in play when ed tech companies deliver their services via the Web. His co-presenters represent leading providers of educational and instructional technology solutions.
Seattle Partner Carllene Placide, a member of the Dorsey Labor and Employment practice group, will attend the SIIA Software Summit and participate in the presentation, “CEO Roundtable: Firing and Cleaning House.”
Attendees at the Software Summit includes leaders in the software industry, as well as related vendors and media. Placide will discuss the many issues CEOs face when conducting unfortunate, but necessary, belt-tightening.
