This year marks the 12th time CLC has presented its Heroes for Children Award. This year’s recipient of the award, Victor I. Vieth, is Executive Emeritus and a founder of the Gundersen National Child Protection Training Institute.

Two additional prestigious awards will also be presented at the benefit to individuals and organizations who have tirelessly championed legal advocacy for youth. Jeff Bauer will be presented with the Rosalie E. Wahl Justice for Children award. Mr. Bauer is the director of public policy of The Family Partnership and is being honored for his advocacy of Minnesota’s Safe Harbor legislation, which decriminalizes sexually exploited youth and ensures they are provided services and protection. The Distinguished Service Award will be presented to the law firm Rubric Legal LLC in recognition of its outstanding commitment to pro bono services for foster care youth.
