We are pleased to announce the 2011 Dorsey & Whitney Diversity Fellowship program. This is the sixth year that Dorsey has offered the Diversity Fellowship. Under this program, recipients can receive up to $20,000 in Diversity Fellowship awards. Each Dorsey Diversity Fellowship recipient will work as a 2011 Dorsey summer associate in either our Denver, Minneapolis, or Seattle office. In addition to the summer associate salary, first-year fellowship recipients will receive $7,500 toward law school tuition and expenses for the 2011-2012 school year. First-year fellowship recipients who return to Dorsey for the summer following their second year of law school will receive an additional $7,500 for the 2012-2013 school year, and an additional $5,000 if they join the firm as an associate.
First-year law students are encouraged to apply on or shortly after December 1 to be considered.
All students of diverse backgrounds who will have completed one year of law school by the summer of 2011 are eligible to apply. Applicants must attend an ABA-accredited law school. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated record of academic achievement and a commitment to promoting diversity in the legal community.
Applications will be accepted until January 21, 2011. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The Fellowship application is available for download below.
