Jessie Collings
Associate
Jessie Collings is an Associate in Dorsey's Labor & Employment group. Jessie provides litigation and counseling support on employment-related matters for a wide range of employers. In her litigation practice, Jessie represents employers in single plaintiff and class action lawsuits – as well as before state and federal administrative agencies – in matters concerning all areas of state and federal employment law, including discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour actions. Jessie also has considerable experience in litigation involving restrictive covenants and trade secrets.
On the counseling side, Jessie advises employers on a variety of employment issues, including discipline and discharge decisions, employee leaves, and human resources best practices. She also drafts employment agreements and policies, conducts workplace training, and assists in labor and employment issues that arise in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

- Represented client in putative collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act; action dismissed by named plaintiff prior to conditional certification.
- Represented clients in numerous disputes regarding restrictive covenants and misappropriation of trade secrets.
- Member of team defending client in nationwide putative class action alleging across-the-board age discrimination under Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
- Member of team defending client in putative class action alleging across-the-board age discrimination under Minnesota law.
- Advice to employers regarding, and representation of employers defending against, claims of misclassification of workers as independent contractors and related issues.
