
Nick is a partner and co-head of Dorsey & Whitney's London Trial department. He is co-chair of Dorsey's Anti-Corruption Practice Group. He specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution and has broad experience of domestic and international disputes.
Nick has represented numerous clients in recovering the proceeds of fraud or corruption through the civil courts and is recognised as an expert on the UK’s Bribery Act 2010. He is experienced in the conduct of internal investigations on behalf of clients.
Nick is also recognised as an expert on electronic discovery/disclosure issues, having been a member of each committee or working party responsible for drafting the existing English Court rules governing this. He is a member of Dorsey's electronic discovery practice group.
Nick is highly experienced in the pursuit or defence of claims of significant importance to clients. In so doing, he often works in conjunction with lawyers in other jurisdictions. He assists clients in identifying and seeking to achieve their strategic objectives, whether by litigation, arbitration or negotiation.
Nick is a frequent speaker and commentator on a broad range of issues arising from his experience.

- Nick is the founder of the Anti-Fraud Network, a global network of professionals experienced in the recovery of the proceeds of fraud, corruption and other dishonesty, recognised by the London Financial Times for its innovation (www.antifraudnetwork.com ).
- Nick served 2 terms as a member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee, the committee responsible for the making of rules of court subject to the Lord Chancellor and led by the Master of the Rolls, the Head of Civil Justice. He has since served on working parties assisting the Committee with the introduction of rules relating to the disclosure of electronic documents, and continues to advise on this issue.
- Nick is identified as an expert in, amongst others, the current editions of the Legal 500 and Chambers UK directories: he is ranked among the top fraud litigators in the UK.
- Opposing counsel testified in the High Court that he could not "recall another case in 30 years of practice that has been defended more ferociously" by Nick.
