Christopher G. Karagheuzoff

Mr. Karagheuzoff is a partner in the Trial group and a member of the Electronic Discovery and Class Action Litigation Practice groups. His primary areas of practice include general commercial litigation, products liability defense, class action defense, insurance defense, and trade secrets, unfair trade practices and antitrust litigation and counseling. Mr. Karagheuzoff has also assisted in conducting internal investigations, represented broker-dealers in securities arbitrations, defended clients in securities class action lawsuits, and defended employers in connection with discrimination claims.

Representative Litigation

  • Defend clients, including major consumer electronics distributor, against deceptive trade practices class action lawsuits and antitrust lawsuits
  • Defend clients in a variety of product liability defense suits, including national coordinating and trial counsel work in connection with the defense of thousands of cases brought against asbestos manufacturer and against asbestos insulator clients
  • Represented major surety bond issuers in defense of claims on large commercial bonds in Enron and Enron-related litigations, obtaining first published decision vitiating attorney-client privilege in an Enron-related litigation. See 349 B.R. 115 (Bankr. S.D.N.Y. Aug. 25, 2006)
