Michelle Collins Zhao is an associate in Dorsey's Corporate Group. She provides legal counsel to public and private companies in a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. She has worked with buyers and sellers in mergers, stock purchases and asset purchases of varying sizes, advised on governance of public, private and joint venture companies, and aided clients in drafting and negotiation of software licenses and other complex commercial contracts.
Before becoming an attorney, Michelle worked as a Constituent Advocate for U.S. Senator Mark Dayton. During law school, she was a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, a student-run legal services center, where she represented victims of domestic violence in family law matters and unemployed or disabled individuals in appeals of public benefits denials.
