On May 1st, join Dorsey & Whitney LLP and the British American Business Council for a transatlantic blend of speakers, highly experienced in Clean Technology innovation and investment. The keynote address will cover the state of cleantech innovation and financing in the UK, followed by a panel discussion around transatlantic clean technology opportunities and differences.

Speakers
We welcome keynote speaker Roger Gregory, Partner, Dorsey & Whitney LLP, London office. An experienced practitioner in private equity and venture capital transactions, Roger trained in the private equity group at Clifford Chance, worked as an in-house lawyer at 3i Group PLC, and was a member of the Legal & Technical Committee of the British Venture Capital Association. Roger is a member of Dorsey’s Cleantech Industry Group and acts for investors such as Environmental Technologies Fund and Carbon Trust Investments Ltd.

From California, we bring Eva Solheim, Founding Partner and Managing Director of Oceanshore Ventures. Eva has 18 years industry experience from global energy, chemicals and technology industries. She served as Trade Commissioner of Innovation Norway at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in San Francisco, and was part of the founding team of Presidio Ventures Partners. Eva manages investor relations for Oceanshore, holds portfolio board observer seats, and works with the team on evaluating new technologies and industry relations.

From Seattle, we present Craig Husa, CEO of 3Tier which has recently opened a U.K. office. 3Tier uses weather science to help clients manage the risk of weather-driven variability. Craig has over 20 years of leadership experience in high-growth, technology companies. He previously served as the CEO of multiple innovative, break-through companies including NeuralIQ, General Software, and Healia.

From California, Mike Rosenfeld, Vice-Consul with UK Trade & Investment, in the British Consulate-General, Los Angeles. Mike serves as lead officer in the USA for the Clean Technology sector and has significant expertise in renewable energy and environmental technologies. He is also a member of the UK’s Climate Change team.

Originating in the U.K. and now based in Seattle, Kevin Rattue, President, SLR International Corp, will moderate discussion. Kevin is responsible for the operational and financial performance of SLR’s North America operation. SLR is UK based with over 300 employees in North America. It provides environmental advisory services to clients in the energy, mining, manufacturing, transportation and waste management business sectors.
