Global law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP is pleased to announce the seventh annual Dorsey Diversity Fellowship program. Each Fellowship recipient will work as a summer associate in the Firm's Denver, Minneapolis or Seattle office and, at the end of each summer (as applicable), will receive $7,500 toward law school tuition and expenses for the school year. Each fellowship recipient who joins the Firm as a new associate will receive an additional $5,000.
Dorsey’s Denver office plans to hire a second-year law student and is now accepting applications on a rolling basis. The firm’s Minneapolis and Seattle offices plan to hire first-year law students and will accept applications from December 1, 2011 through January 20, 2012.
All students enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school who meet the class year requirements stated above are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated record of academic achievement and a commitment to promoting diversity in the legal community. The Fellowship application is available for download

The Dorsey & Whitney Diversity Fellowship is a natural extension of the Firm’s commitment to diversity. Dorsey is committed to attracting, recruiting, retaining and advancing attorneys from diverse backgrounds. Dorsey supports numerous organizations that promote diversity in the legal community, including the Human Rights Campaign and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. The Firm actively recruits from minority job fairs each fall. In addition, the Firm encourages attorneys to become involved in internal networking and affinity groups as well as local minority bar associations.
